Fill the blank question types

Need to ask questions where the learner writes a text response that the system auto-marks? Use the question bank exercise!

Create a question bank exercise, write your questions, and add the text of any acceptable answer as correct answers.

Next, from the Question Bank's Advanced Options, enable the Fill the blank option.

That's it. Save the questions and toggle over to learner view to try it out.

Note that text answers are case sensitive.

Can I combine text answers and multiple choice answers?

Yes. Simply enable Multiple choice and Select all correct from the Advanced Options.

Just be sure to add some incorrect distractors to your fill the gap questions.
